Our Society

Founded in 1998, Chemistry Society, SS, HKUSU is an academic society in the University of Hong Kong. The objectives of the Society are:

(1) To promote interest in Chemistry;
(2) To enhance communication between the Department and Members;
(3) To maintain internal coherence among Members; and
(4) To represent the interest of all Members.

All undergraduate students of the University of Hong Kong and all postgraduate students of the Department of Chemistry are welcomed to become Members of the Society.

According to Article 1 a, SECTION VI - ELECTION of the Constitution of Chemistry Society, SS, HKUSU, "The nomination period for posts of the Committee of successive session shall be opened for two weeks after the third week of September and shall be closed at least two weeks before the Annual General Meeting.", the nomination period for Executive Committee Members of Chemistry Society, SS, HKUSU, Session 2018-2019 is now declared to be opened on 26th October 2018 and closed on 9th November 2018 with the following posts opened for nomination:
